Poppy Field

Poppy Field, originally uploaded by quinacridonered.

This is another watercolor exercise from a Terry Harrison book. Arches 12 x 16, W & N paints. I know there are lots of corrections needed.....but this painting makes me feel happy!

Holiday weekend coming up.....YAY!

Well Done! The poppies are so fresh and lovely but I especially like the trees with their little flashes of white. It's not so easy to get the whites like that and you've really dont it well.

Terrific job -- I think "happy" when I see this, too!! Excellent perspectives (especially on the fence and posts) I love how Terry Harrison shows how to use a sheet of paper for making those distant field's lines -- you did good!!

It's so pretty and pastoral. Great perspective too.

Such a happy painting! I love your greens -so "green" compared to the Australian greens - and complements the poppies so well.
